Learn the Truth about how to Remove Fluoride from Water...
Fluoride is very difficult to remove once added to your water
The companies that claim total removal of fluoride with an inexpensive fluoride filter are misleading you.
Kitchen Fluoride Filters
My Kitchen Defender water filter will reduce or remove fluoride from water - depending entirely on local water chemistry - whereas my custom reverse osmosis system will remove fluoride from water.
With the exception of reverse osmosis, to remove fluoride from water depends in part on local water chemistry and competing ions in the water so it cannot be predicted in advance for a fluoride filter even if it is designed to remove fluoride.
Independant tests performed by customers such as yourself have shown the Kitchen Defender water filter removes fluoride in some locations including San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley. Other tests have shown reduction of fluoride in other locations.
The reverse osmosis systems I sell are tested and will remove 98% of fluoride.

This is because Whole House Fluoride Filters
Many people call me and hope to learn how to remove fluoride from water throughout their entire home. They don't want to bathe in it, believing, I think rightly so, that fluoride may be absorbed through the skin. Until recently I'vd not seen any studies which verify this. However I did discover a study written by the State of New Hampshire in 2008 which says that fluoride is absorbed through the skin when bathing.
You can remove fluoride from water in your entire home, but it is expensive. A whole house fluoride filter must be sized so that the water flows through the filter slowly enough to provide time for the fluoride to interact with the media in the fluoride filter. Most people don't pursue this course due to expense and most water treatment companies fail to mention this to you.
I have four different models of fluoride filters which I have designed for your budget and desired effectiveness. Three of these are 1 cubic foot in size, making them effective at treating one shower at a time. All four fluoride filters below use activated alumina, however bone char systems are also available except in California. Systems are described along with the pros and cons of each:
Upflow system: $ 965. - best price, least effective, but likely good enough
Downflow with manual backwash valve: $ 1075. - more effective due to greater contact between the media and the water but you have to backwash the system yourself. (pictured)
Downflow with automated backwash valve: $ 1425. - most effective of the small systems and automated so you don't have to worry about backwashing it.
3 Cubic Foot Downflow System (6 gpm): $ 2750. - this system will remove fluoride at higher flow rates and is fully automated.
Effectiveness in the removal of fluoride depends on a variety of factors.

A whole house fluoride filter targets fluoride only. It does not remove chlorine or chloramine or any of their carcinogenic byproducts. If you wish to remove chlorane or chloramine then you want my Urban Defender whole house water filter.

The Fluoride Deception by Christopher Bryson
“In a society where asbestos, lead, silica, beryllium and many other carcinogens have found their way into the marketplace and then been recalled, one has to wonder why fluoride, so toxic it is used as a rat poison and pesticide, is embraced so thoroughly and so blindly.”
Endorsement: “It is my sincere hope that Christopher Bryson’s apparently thorough and comprehensive perusal of the scientific literature on the biological actions of fluoride and the ensuing debates through the years will receive the attention it deserves and that its implications will be seriously considered.” —Arvid Carlsson, winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize for Medicine

And no, I don't make money on book sales. The way I differentiate my business from everyone else's is that I guide you on a process of discovery in which you learn what's in your water, set goals for your family, and then purchase the system that meets those goals, whether you purchase it from me or someone else.
